• Rugby League Playing career from early 1940s to 1956
• Playing career included first grade with Parramatta and Balmain 1954-56
• Playing career curtailed early by a serious knee injury.
• Took up coaching late 1950s with local junior clubs in ‘A’ Grade and also coached Balmain Jersey Flegg in 1962
• Ryde-Eastwood District Football Club 1st grade coach in 1963 (inaugural year) and again in 1964
• Coached several teams with North Ryde Junior Rugby League Football Club from mid 1960s to late 1970s
• Named North Ryde JRLFC “coach of the half century” at their 2009 Jubilee.
• Secretary of the Ryde-Eastwood District Rugby League Football Club since inception in 1963 …. 48Yrs
