Celebrating 25 Years of GMDC Excellence in NSW!

 

2024 marked a significant milestone for LCA, with the 25th year of the Gaming Management Development Course (GMDC) in NSW.
 
GMDC is a program that has empowered over 1,400 participants to grow as leaders and innovators in the gaming industry.
 
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to our long-term partner, Aristocrat, for their invaluable support in coordinating this course, and to Brian Cook who continues to facilitate each session with insight and expertise.
 
Our heartfelt appreciation also goes out to all the dedicated presenters and venues who generously contribute their time and resources each year.
 
Congratulations to our top achievers this year:
 
• First Prize: STEVEN ANNAKIN, Seagulls Club
UNLV David Costello Bursary Award, which includes a trip to Las Vegas and attendance at the esteemed UNLV Gaming Course.
 
• Runner-Up: SHAUN BYFIELD, The Ary Toukley
A ticket to the G2E Asia Gaming Expo, to be held May 7th – 9th, 2025, provided by Paynter Dixon.
 
• Third Prize: SALLY COOPER, Club Charlestown
A Domestic Bursary offering the opportunity to visit leading gaming venues in either Victoria or Queensland.

Here’s to the continued success of GMDC for the years to come!

Over 1000 students have completed the course in the 25 years it has been held.

The 26th year of the course will commence in April 2025. Those students fortunate enough to participate in the next course can look forward to learning about the attributes and skills required to become a successful Gaming Manager, along with the opportunity to network with industry experts and course colleagues.

QLD GMDC 2024

 

The sixth year of the QLD Gaming Management Development Course concluded on June 2024 thanks to the assistance of LCA Education Sponsor Aristocrat.

LCA & Aristocrat would like to congratulate Ashleigh Parker from Wynnum Manly Leagues Club on achieving the highest mark overall in the QLD GMDC course for 2024.

All students are to be congratulated on their hard work and dedication and thanks also needs to go to Kedron-Wavell and Arana Leagues Club for hosting the 2024 session.

The seventh year of the course will commence around May 2025. Participants on the course are able to learn, take part in and experience knowledge sharing, key industry speakers from NSW and QLD, venue visitation and networking.
